Hello Students, Teachers, Parents, Patrons, Community Members,
The Board of Education approved the calendar changes to the current academic calendar through the remainder of this year. The chart below represents the changes approved by the Board to the calendar. We will still have our teacher inservice days as previously scheduled. A link to the full academic calendar for the remainder of the year can be found HERE.
Early Dismissal Days (12 p.m. dismissal) Feb. 5, 19, 26, March 5, 26, April 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, and 21 Virtual Learning Day (all students K-12 are expected to work remotely) Teacher Inservice Days Feb 12, March 12, and April 2
Additionally, I wanted to get information out to all of you about the recent bill signed by the Governor last week titled SF 160 In Person Instruction Requirements. Each parent will have the ability to choose between three options for student learning.
Option #1 Remote learning 100>#/b###. Students would be learning online 100% of the time in courses designed and led by our teachers. This is the same model we have used all year for remote learning.
Option #2 Hybrid (current structure) Option #3 100% in person learning *

A couple of notes and or clarifications about the calendar options.
-
Our Fridays are currently set up in the hybrid option. Students in grades K-4 are in person until 12 p.m. and grades 5-12 have the option to be here or can be requested to be here (for additional support).
-
All students are expected to engage in remote/virtual learning if they are not attending in person. (Principals will be sending additional information out about the expectations students and parents should have about remote/virtual learning later this week or early next week.)
-
If parents choose the 100% in person option, that will be in effect for the remainder of the year. Students will not be able to go between the 100% in person learning option and the hybrid option.
-
All parents grades 5-12 who are requesting the 100% In Person Learning option need to complete the following survey by Wednesday February 10. 100% In Person Learning Sign Up
-
The classroom expectations for remote/virtual learners and 100% In Person Learners are the same.
-
Transportation will be provided to students in grades K-12 for 100% In Person Learning or the hybrid
model if the student currently rides the bus.
-
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Fridays for students who are in person. A free grab and go
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for students learning remotely/virtually on Fridays. (Students learning remotely/virtually on Fridays will pick their grab and go lunch up on Thursday afternoon.) Please use the links below to sign up for free grab and go lunch on Teacher Inservice Days and for those students who opt for the hybrid learning plan.
