Congratulations to Addison Scrivner who was accepted for BOTH the South Central Iowa Bandmasters' Association Honor Band AND the Opus Honor Choir.
Addison had to audition for both of these events, and she was competing against students from all schools in South Central Iowa for the honor band (including the Des Moines Metro), and students in all schools across Iowa for the honor choir.
These are the highest honors that a middle school Iowa music student can earn.

This year the 5th and 6th grade students are taking advantage of the daily 18 minute Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) in order to increase literacy skills in fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
