The Back to School Bash is one of our favorite community events of the year. We are so lucky to serve three communities and the support we receive in return is unbelievable. Thank you to all the parents that brought their students last night- the teachers look forward to this day every year with excitement. Thank you to all the teachers and staff who made their classroom special for their new students. Thank you Building and Maintenance crew for their countless hours making the building perfect for last night. Thank you to all the high school athletes for showing up last night and signing autographs for the elementary students and to the Boosters and Laura Haines (who took the pictures and designed the posters) that made it possible- it was so cool to witness. Thank you to the Transportation Department for bringing up the bus and the glitter tattoos. To the PTO- thank you for all of your support and the I-35 tattoos and to Kristen Harris for the perfect Back to School photo back drop.
Thank you to our food vendors- The Farm Creamery, who matched tips last night and donated to the Student Services Fund, Smokin Train BBQ who had so much support they ran out of meat before the end of the night, and thank you to Jones Family Diner who made it work and was able to sell pizza while the rest of her family was showing at the Iowa State Fair. Thank you to the New Virginia, St. Charles, and Truro fire departments for being there and allowing students to tour your fire trucks. Thank you to the Iowa Army National Guard- the rock wall was a huge success.
Lastly, thank you to Shop & Go and the Patel family, who showed up last night and delivered a check for $500 to the I-35 Backpack Program.
What a great night- here's to an awesome 23-24 School Year!
