Due to the overwhelming response for Grandparent's Day, we have made a few adjustments. 2nd-4th grade will be 12:30-1:30 PM and grades prek-1st will be 1:45-2:45 pm. Grandparents with children in both sections will stay for both presentations. Just a friendly reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are next week - Monday, November 7, and Thursday, November 10, from 4-8pm. Additionally, we will have a 2 hour early out those afternoons.
I-35 students have been getting many hands-on learning opportunities! Art classes have been making ceramics, foods classes have been practicing the art of sandwich making, 5th grade exploratory students created painted rock masterpieces, and a few 8th graders had the chance to try their hand at stick welding.

We will need to change the breakfast for tomorrow. Tomorrow's breakfast will be CINNAMON BAGEL PULL-APART. We did not receive the pancake on a stick. I will try to put pancake on a stick back on the menu here soon.
The Kindergarten through 2nd grade students also celebrated their RAD Roadrunners today during an afternoon assembly! Great Job to all our Roadrunners who grew these first few months of school!

Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner - Nov. 7 and Nov. 10th , and that also means the Scholastic Book Fair will be here too! The Book Fair will be open before school from 7:45-8:10 am Monday-Thursday, and then again from 4-8 pm during Conferences!

Today, Interstate 35 students had a very special guest - Kansas City Chief's mascot KC Wolf (also known as Dan Meer)! KC shared some insights into what it takes to be a mascot and how important it is to be a good character! Thank you, KC Wolf!
