We are so fortunate to be surrounded by community support, especially during the holidays. We were able to partner this year with I-35 High School Student Council, St. Patrick’s Church (who sponsored MstM as well), and St. Charles Parish to provide 17 families Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings and breakfast as well. Proud to be a Roadrunner.

Congratulations to all our Fall Drama students who put together an amazing performance! Thank you to everyone who supported these students over the last several weeks as they planned, practiced, and prepared for opening night; and thank you to all who attended our performances!

Reminder -

Jordan Golay, Elliot McMichael, Nora Phillips, Daisy Lorton, and Gaea Adix participated last Thursday in the Southern Iowa Honor Band at East Union CSD in Afton, Iowa! They rehearsed with students from many other schools in the Southern Iowa area for around 8 hours, then performed in a concert that evening. It was a great experience to learn more about music, gain experience on their instruments, and to meet students from other parts of the state! (Plus they had fun at the Pizza Ranch in Creston for Dinner!)

Thank you to all the alumni, parents and community members who participated in I35’s College & Career Day.
Students had the opportunity to meet with professionals and explore 5 different careers in the morning and then in the afternoon, students were able to learn more about the skilled trades, the military and many colleges.
Thanks to all who participated in the day! What a great experience for the Roadrunners!

Addison Scrivener spent Thursday at Iowa State University for Opus Honor Choir rehearsals and concert. She along with students from schools of all sizes across Iowa auditioned to be one of the 45 students accepted on her voice part. This is the highest honor an Iowa middle school choir student can achieve! Congratulations, Addison!

On Tuesday, seven of our High School band Students and six Middle School students participated in the WCAC Honor Band at Earlham High School. They rehearsed most of the day with two amazing educators and worked together with students from the WCAC conference to put together an amazing concert!

I-35's Girls on the Run program through YMCA wrapped up today. Sixteen girls started and 16 girls successfully completed. We had a wonderful season. Special thanks to all the parents and volunteers who supported the program and to Madison County Greater Community Foundation and St. Charles Lions Club for making it affordable for all of our students. Looking forward to making this a permanent program at I-35.

I-35 Drama students have been hard at work preparing for the fall production of "An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas"! Be sure to attend Friday or Saturday's performance to support these young actors!

This afternoon, the Middle School and High School Choirs performed a special showcase to our 2nd - 4th grade students to help celebrate World Kindness Day! Great job, Roadrunners!

Congratulations to Kinsey Martindale and Lyla Mundel for participating in the 7th grade SCIBA Honor Band. A big congratulations to Addison Scrivner for auditioning and making into the 8th Grade SCIBA Honor Band, one of the highest levels that an 8th grader in South Central Iowa can achieve! These students rehearsed most of the day and performed at Ankeny Centennial High School along with other talented musicians from the area.

Get out and support our Roadrunner wrestlers and Drama students this week!
