NOTICE OF ELECTION
In accordance with the provisions of Chapters 49 and 277, 2022 Code of Iowa, I, Traci VanderLinden, Commissioner of Elections in and for the County of Warren, do hereby
proclaim and give notice the Interstate 35 Community School Special Election will be held September 13, 2022, with the following public measure “A“ to be voted upon by all qualified Electors of the district:
To adopt a Revenue Purpose Statement specifying the use of revenues the
Interstate 35 Community School district will receive from the State of Iowa
Secure an Advanced Vision for Education Fund.

The polling places for the election are as follows:
New Virginia Lions Hall, 503 West St, New Virginia
St Charles Parish, 305 W. Main St, St Charles
Truro Community Center, 100 S. Railroad, Truro
Osceola United Methodist Church, 130 W Grant St., Osceola
Polling places are accessible to elderly and handicap voters.
The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Voters registering to vote on election day – and voters who have changed precincts will also be required to provide proof of residence. A voter who cannot provide proof of identification may have their identity attested to by another voter registered in the precinct who has an approved form of identification. Effective January 1, 2019, all voters are required to present an approved form of identification. ADDITIONAL STATEMENT TO THE NOTICE OF ELECTION
If a majority of eligible electors voting on the question fail to approve this Revenue Purpose Statement, then upon expiration of the current Revenue Purpose Statement, revenues received by the School District from the Secure an Advanced Vision for Education fund shall be expended in the following order:
The payment of bonds for which SAVE Revenue has been pledged;
Reduction of bond levies under Iowa Code Sections 298.18 and 298.18A and all other debt levies;
Reduction of the regular and voter-approved physical plant and equipment levy under Iowa Code Section 298.2;
Reduction of the public educational and recreational levy under Iowa Code Section 300.2;
For any authorized infrastructure purpose of the school district as defined in Iowa Code Section 423F.3(6); and
For the payment of principal and interest on bonds issued under Iowa Code Sections 423E.5 and 423F.4.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Ballots are now available for absentee voting for persons who will be absent from the polls on September 13, 2022. The ballots may be mailed to the voter no later than Friday, September 2nd or persons may come into the Warren County Administration Building, 301 N. Buxton, Suite 101, Indianola, and vote through Monday, September 12, 2022. Persons applying for absentee ballots should mail these ballots back to the Auditor’s Office as soon as possible, as the envelope must be postmarked no later than September 12, 2022.
A voter is not required to own property in a School District to vote in the election, but must be currently registered in your county of residency.
The Auditor’s office will be testing the voting equipment on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditor’s election office.
