We provided guidance on Tuesday about some changes to our current response and expectations about how we do business based on the recent Department of Public Health, Department of Education and Governor's Office. We wanted to reach out and address some questions we have fielded in the last couple of days to provide clarity under the new guidance.
As always, please contact us for any clarification or with any additional questions. We appreciate your support as we continue to navigate these challenging times.
It is important to note that our buses are an extension of our classrooms. Therefore, the new mask mandates will also apply on the bus. We will be working with bus drivers and students to educate them about the new expectations and guidelines. These next steps will go into effect Monday, November 30, 2020.
• All staff and students will be required to wear masks while in the building or on the bus at all
times.
• Current guidance is that face shields are NOT an option--masks must be worn.
• Bus Riders who inconsistently wear masks will be given a warning. The second time will result in a bus write up.
Parents will be notified if a student is written up for improper mask use.
• If a student is sent to the office again for improper mask use, the student will be quarantined for 2 weeks (14 days).
