PRESCHOOL BENEFITS:
We know it's a big decision to send your child to preschool. Below is we share some of the benefits that preschool has for children as they begin their education journey.
Preschool education helps children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills. It helps these young students build confidence in the classroom and develop a love of learning since their first exposure to formal learning has an emphasis on play and hands-on learning activities.
Preschool helps students get a start on making friends and practicing the skills required to be a good friend and classmate. This includes growing teamwork and communication skills. They'll also work on managing their emotions and will learn tools to express their feelings.
Language and literacy skill development is also a key part of preschool. Students will practice learning new words, which builds vocabulary, learn their letters and the sounds they make. They'll also begin to practice simple math skills to build numeracy skills.
Ultimately, current research has shown evidence that indicates that the early years are a critical time for learning and development and it provides the foundation for future progress (5).
