The school buzzed with excitement on Tuesday, April 16, as students and families gathered for a morning of delicious treats and quality time. From 7:30 to 8:30 am, Prekindergarten through 4th-grade students had the special opportunity to enjoy "Donuts with Grown-ups."
The event, designed to strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories, was a resounding success. Parents, grandparents, and guardians joined their young ones in the elementary gym, which was transformed with colorful decorations and an array of mouth-watering donuts.
Laughter and chatter filled the air as families shared stories, caught up on news, and bonded over their love for sweet treats. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with each other and with the school community.
As the event came to a close at 8:30 am, the smiles on the faces of students and families spoke volumes. Donuts with Grown-ups had been a morning filled with joy, laughter, and, of course, plenty of delicious donuts. It was a reminder of the importance of family and community in the lives of our students, and a testament to the strong bonds that unite us all.
Thank you to Casey's of St. Charles for preparing all the donuts for the event and providing a sweet deal! And to the staff and custodians who helped organize and prepare for the event! Roadrunners are Better Together!
